1. Who we are

This site (qalaf.om) is operated by Abna Al Qalaf Trading — Limited Partnership, an Omani marine-engineering firm registered under Commercial Registration CR 3057020, with its principal place of business in the Saham Industrial Area, Wilayat Saham, North Al Batinah, Sultanate of Oman.

2. What information we collect

We collect information in three narrow ways:

Quote & contact form. When you submit the form on the Contact section, we receive: your name, email address, phone number, the service area you indicated (Marine, FRP, Boat Manufacturing, Fabrication, Electronics or General), and the free-text description you provided.
Direct correspondence. If you write to us by email, WhatsApp, or telephone, we naturally retain that correspondence in order to respond and to maintain a record of the engagement.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for the purpose of security and abuse mitigation. These are not used for marketing or analytics.

We do not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or behavioural profiling on this site. We do not set cookies of our own.

3. Why we use it

The information you submit is used solely to (a) respond to your enquiry, (b) prepare quotations and service work, and (c) maintain the records required by Omani commercial and tax law. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Third-party services that load on this site

The site embeds or relies on a small number of third-party services. When you load a page, your browser will contact these services directly, and your IP address and basic technical metadata will therefore be visible to them under their own privacy policies:

FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. The form payload transits FormSubmit's servers before reaching us. See formsubmit.co.
OpenStreetMap — the locator map on the Contact section is an embedded iframe served by openstreetmap.org. The OpenStreetMap Foundation logs requests for tile delivery. See OSM privacy policy.
Google Fonts — typography (Cormorant Garamond, Inter Tight, Noto Naskh Arabic) is served from fonts.googleapis.com. See Google's privacy policy.

5. How long we keep it

Quote requests and correspondence are retained for as long as the customer relationship is active, plus the retention period required by Omani commercial and tax legislation (typically up to ten years after the last transaction). Server logs are retained only for the short window required for security review.

6. Your rights

You may at any time ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we are not legally required to retain it. Write to info@qalaf.om with the subject line "data request" and we will respond within thirty calendar days.

7. Children

The site is intended for marine professionals, fleet operators, and adult vessel owners. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The last updated date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the home page.
